Well Fed Eatery is Gravenhurst's very own on-the-go sandwich shop. Enjoy a variety of sandwiches from the Classic Roasted Turkey to Phil's Crunchy Chicken or add some extra vitamins to your lunch with a fresh-made side soup in winter, or a side salad year-round.​​​
The owners, Phillip and Bella, are a husband and wife duo who are passionate about quality service and quality products. Savour a lunch that is made quick and fresh with real, nutritious ingredients and served with a smile. Think of it like healthy and fast food.
While there is only outdoor seating, there are lots of goodies to take home including prepared meals such as Shepperd's Pie, Chicken Noodle Soup, Beef Stew and more! Don't be afraid to ask about options for your gluten-free, lactose-free, or vegetarian friends.

Annette Buys Well Fed's Future Home
In 2011, Annette embarks on her new career path with the support of her family. With her husband, Paul's, support they purchase and begin renovating the future home of Well Fed, adding a commercial kitchen space to Gravenhurst's downtown core.

Annette Opens Well Fed
On May 30th, 2011, Annette opens Well Fed's doors to the public for the very first time. She starts with just herself and a friend who works as a chef. Within the year, she more than doubles Well Fed's staff in order to keep up with demand.

Winter 2023
Annette Gets Ready To Retire
After 12 long and joyful years of pouring her passion into Well Fed and the community of Gravenhurst, Annette realizes that she's ready to pass on the torch. She lists Well Fed for sale and begins looking for someone with lots of energy and experience in the hospitality industry.
February 2024
Bella and Phillip Buy Well Fed
Phillip had worked as a Chef in Fine Dining for 8 years and had long dreamed of owning his own restaurant. When Phillip and his wife, Bella, learned that Well Fed was for sale they realized they could make his dream a reality. Although the the timing was tricky because Phillip and Bella were living abroad at the time, they eagerly returned to Muskoka.
With the support of their families, they bought Well Fed and started Phillip on the path to achieving his dream.

June 1st 2024
Well Fed Re-Opens
On June 1st, 2024 Phillip and Bella re-opened Well Fed and strived to find a balance between the old and the new, while getting to know their new customers. Phillip kept items like Annette's Roasted Turkey Sandwich and added the Schnitzel on a Bun and Phil's Crunchy Chicken.

To this day, Phillip and Bella continue to add menu items, freezer items, and breathe new life into Well Fed. They're always looking for new ways to serve the community of Gravenhurst.
Meet the Owners
Phillip Jakel
After working for 8 years as a chef in fine dining restaurants in Germany, New Zealand, and Canada, Phillip was ready for a new challenge. It was time to make his dream of owning his own restaurant a reality.

Having fallen in love with Muskoka during a high school exchange program, he's thrilled to be immersed once again in Muskoka's natural beauty.

Bella Goudie
With a background in Marketing and Digital Media, Bella didn't expect to end up in the hospitality industry. But with Well Fed, she saw an opportunity to put her skills to the test and support her husband in his dream to own his own business.

As a third-generation Muskoka local from the Kilbourne family, she's thrilled to be serving and supporting the community she grew up in.
